SailPoint Developer Salary in India 2026 guide by Brolly Academy

Quick answer

On 24 October 2026, AmbitionBox showed a typical salary range of ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh a year for SailPoint developers in India with 1 to 6 years of experience, based on 562 reported salaries. Pay climbs clearly with experience: about ₹5 to 5.6 lakh at 1 to 3 years and ₹8.4 to 9.2 lakh at 3 to 6 years. Moving into consultant, IAM consultant and architect roles lifts pay much further, with identity and access management architects at about ₹36.1 to 41.2 lakh a year (8 to 18 years, small sample).

  • Hyderabad: ₹7.2 to 8.3 lakh a year for SailPoint developers (1 to 6 years, 263 salaries)
  • Lowest reported band: 1 to 3 years, about ₹4.8 to 5.6 lakh a year (India and Hyderabad); no 0 to 1 year band is shown
  • Best-paying step up: consulting roles, with IAM consultants at ₹14.4 to 16.1 lakh a year (2 to 10 years, 456 salaries)
  • What lifts pay most: 3+ years of hands-on IdentityIQ or Identity Security Cloud work, Java and BeanShell, and full implementation experience
  • Source note: all figures are AmbitionBox "typical ranges" shown to logged-out users on 24 October 2026; they are guides, not offers

Key takeaways

  1. A SailPoint developer in India typically earns about ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh a year across 1 to 6 years of experience, with a big jump after 3 years.
  2. Freshers rarely start with the "SailPoint developer" title; most start in IAM operations or support, where AmbitionBox shows IAM analysts in Hyderabad at ₹4 to 5 lakh a year at 1 to 3 years.
  3. Consulting firms and Big Four teams show the highest SailPoint developer pay among popular employers, though company samples are small.
  4. SailPoint certification appears as "good to have" in job descriptions, not as a requirement, so treat it as a tie-breaker, not a guaranteed raise.
  5. Salary at SailPoint Technologies (the software company) is a different question: those figures are for product engineering roles, not for SailPoint implementation work.

1. SailPoint salary at a glance

Short answer: Across SailPoint and IAM roles in India, AmbitionBox typical ranges run from about ₹6.3 lakh a year for IAM analysts to about ₹36 to 41 lakh for IAM architects, with SailPoint developers in the middle at ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh.

Every figure below is an AmbitionBox "typical salary range" shown to logged-out visitors when we read the pages on 24 October 2026. AmbitionBox builds these from salaries that employees report themselves, so small samples can swing a lot. The experience column is the range each figure covers, not a starting point.

Role (India) Typical range a year Experience and sample Page updated SailPoint developer ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh 1 to 6 yrs, 562 salaries 18 Oct 2026 SailPoint consultant ₹9.8 to 11.6 lakh 2 to 8 yrs, 162 salaries 15 Oct 2026 Identity and access management engineer ₹10 to 11.1 lakh 1 to 10 yrs, 834 salaries 18 Oct 2026 Identity and access management analyst ₹6.3 to 7 lakh 1 to 10 yrs, 1.2k salaries 24 Oct 2026 IAM consultant ₹14.4 to 16.1 lakh 2 to 10 yrs, 456 salaries 22 Oct 2026 Identity and access management architect ₹36.1 to 41.2 lakh 8 to 18 yrs, 84 salaries (small) 17 Oct 2026

You can check the main figure yourself on AmbitionBox's SailPoint developer salary page. Exact averages and top-earner figures sit behind a login, so we do not quote them.

A quick word on terms you will see in this guide:

  • IAM (identity and access management): the broad practice of managing who a user is and what they can access
  • IGA (identity governance and administration): the governance layer of IAM, which covers access reviews, provisioning and audit; SailPoint is an IGA vendor
  • IdentityIQ (IIQ): SailPoint's self-managed IGA product, which a company runs on its own servers or hosting
  • Identity Security Cloud (ISC): SailPoint's SaaS product, formerly IdentityNow and now sold as SailPoint Human Fabric within SailPoint Identity Security; job posts still say ISC or IDN
  • CTC (cost to company): the full yearly package an employer quotes, which is higher than your monthly in-hand pay

2. What "SailPoint salary" means: two different questions

Short answer: "SailPoint salary" can mean the pay of people who work with SailPoint products at any employer, or pay at SailPoint Technologies, the software company; this guide covers both but keeps them separate.

Most people searching "SailPoint developer salary" mean the first: what you earn if you build and run SailPoint IdentityIQ or Identity Security Cloud for a bank, a GCC (global capability centre) or an IT services firm. These are implementation and operations roles. You onboard applications (connect a system so SailPoint can read and manage its accounts), write rules, set up workflows and run access certifications (periodic reviews where managers approve or revoke access).

The second meaning is salary at SailPoint itself. SailPoint is an Austin, Texas-based company that lists roles in India on its careers site, and in October 2026 it had engineering and product listings in Pune on LinkedIn. Those are product engineering jobs, where you build the SailPoint software, not configure it for a customer. We cover their pay in section 7.

Why does this matter? A table that mixes both will show a much higher "average" than a typical SailPoint developer at an IT services firm will see. Keep the two apart when you compare offers.

3. SailPoint developer salary by experience

Short answer: AmbitionBox showed SailPoint developers in India at about ₹5 to 5.6 lakh a year at 1 to 3 years and ₹8.4 to 9.2 lakh at 3 to 6 years in October 2026; the 6 to 9 year band rests on only 4 salaries.

Here is how pay moves with experience, using the logged-out experience bands on AmbitionBox, read on 24 October 2026.

Experience SailPoint developer, India SailPoint developer, Hyderabad IAM engineer, India 1 to 3 years ₹5 to 5.6 lakh (175 salaries) ₹4.8 to 5.5 lakh (83) ₹5.9 to 6.9 lakh (158) 3 to 6 years ₹8.4 to 9.2 lakh (384) ₹8.1 to 9.4 lakh (175) ₹9.2 to 10.3 lakh (499) 6 to 9 years ₹11.9 to 16.1 lakh (4, tiny) ₹12.3 to 13.6 lakh (AmbitionBox estimate) ₹14.5 to 17.3 lakh (136) 9 to 12 years Not shown Not shown ₹15.9 to 22.4 lakh (25, small)

Three things stand out.

  1. The 3-year jump is the biggest. The typical range rises by about ₹3.5 lakh a year between the 1 to 3 and 3 to 6 year bands. This matches what job descriptions ask: almost every SailPoint developer listing we read on 24 October 2026 wanted 3 years or more.
  2. Senior developer data is thin. Only 4 salaries back the 6 to 9 year SailPoint developer band in India, and the Hyderabad figure is an AmbitionBox estimate, not reported pay. For senior pay, the IAM engineer data (136 salaries at 6 to 9 years) is more reliable.
  3. Senior people often change titles. After 6 or so years, many SailPoint developers become "senior consultant", "IAM lead", "IGA engineering lead" or "architect", so their pay shows up under other job titles.

The IAM engineer column is useful because many SailPoint jobs carry that title. AmbitionBox's identity and access management engineer salary page showed ₹10 to 11.1 lakh a year overall (1 to 10 years, 834 salaries, updated 18 October 2026).

What this looks like in monthly terms

Indian readers often think in monthly pay. Here is simple arithmetic: divide the yearly figure by 12 to get a gross monthly amount before any deductions.

  • ₹5 lakh a year is about ₹41,700 a month gross
  • ₹8.4 lakh a year is about ₹70,000 a month gross
  • ₹11.9 lakh a year is about ₹99,200 a month gross

Your in-hand amount will be lower. Section 12 explains why.

4. SailPoint salary by city

Short answer: Among cities with usable data in October 2026, SailPoint developer typical ranges were close: Hyderabad ₹7.2 to 8.3 lakh, Bengaluru ₹7 to 8.3 lakh, Pune ₹6.3 to 8.6 lakh and Chennai ₹5.9 to 8.8 lakh, with Pune and Chennai on small samples.

City pay for SailPoint developers is more similar than many people expect. The figures below are AmbitionBox typical ranges read on 24 October 2026.

City SailPoint developer range a year Experience and sample Updated Hyderabad ₹7.2 to 8.3 lakh 1 to 6 yrs, 263 salaries 22 Oct 2026 Bengaluru ₹7 to 8.3 lakh 1 to 5 yrs, 123 salaries 16 Oct 2026 Pune ₹6.3 to 8.6 lakh 1 to 5 yrs, 33 salaries (small) 18 Oct 2026 Chennai ₹5.9 to 8.8 lakh ("Medium Confidence") 2 to 5 yrs, 22 salaries (tiny) 10 Oct 2026

SailPoint salary in Hyderabad

Hyderabad has the largest city sample on AmbitionBox for SailPoint developers. Its Hyderabad SailPoint developer page showed ₹4.8 to 5.5 lakh a year at 1 to 3 years (83 salaries) and ₹8.1 to 9.4 lakh at 3 to 6 years (175 salaries). Other Hyderabad roles on the same date:

Role, Hyderabad Typical range a year Experience and sample IAM analyst ₹5.4 to 6.2 lakh 1 to 8 yrs, 214 salaries IAM engineer ₹7.7 to 9.5 lakh 1 to 10 yrs, 229 salaries IAM consultant ₹11.8 to 13.8 lakh 2 to 9 yrs, 100 salaries

Hyderabad's IAM figures sit a little below the all-India figures for the same titles (for example, IAM engineers at ₹10 to 11.1 lakh across India). One reason may be the mix of roles: Hyderabad has many operations and managed services teams alongside implementation teams. For employers, work modes and local job searches, see our guide to SailPoint jobs in Hyderabad.

Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai

Bengaluru showed ₹4.6 to 5.9 lakh at 1 to 3 years (33 salaries) and ₹7.9 to 9.5 lakh at 3 to 6 years (92 salaries). Chennai's bands (₹5.2 to 6.2 lakh at 1 to 3 years and ₹6.6 to 9 lakh at 3 to 6 years) rest on 6 and 17 salaries, so treat them as rough. Pune showed no experience bands. AmbitionBox also listed IAM analysts in Bengaluru at ₹5.6 to 6.3 lakh a year (371 salaries).

The takeaway: choose a city for the employer and role, not for a small salary difference. A Big Four or GCC offer in any of these cities usually matters more than the city itself.

5. SailPoint salary by role

Short answer: Pay rises as you move from operations to development to consulting to architecture: IAM analysts at about ₹6.3 to 7 lakh, SailPoint developers ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh, IAM engineers ₹10 to 11.1 lakh, IAM consultants ₹14.4 to 16.1 lakh and IAM architects ₹36.1 to 41.2 lakh (AmbitionBox, October 2026).

Here is what each role does and what AmbitionBox showed for it in India on 24 October 2026.

Role What you do Typical range a year (India) IAM analyst / IGA operations Provisioning and deprovisioning tickets, access reviews, orphan accounts, audit evidence ₹6.3 to 7 lakh (1 to 10 yrs, 1.2k) SailPoint developer Onboard applications, write BeanShell rules, build workflows, roles and certifications ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh (1 to 6 yrs, 562) IAM engineer Build and run the identity platform, connectors and integrations ₹10 to 11.1 lakh (1 to 10 yrs, 834) SailPoint consultant Gather requirements, design and implement for clients ₹9.8 to 11.6 lakh (2 to 8 yrs, 162) IAM consultant Lead IAM implementations across tools and clients ₹14.4 to 16.1 lakh (2 to 10 yrs, 456) IAM architect Design the identity programme, choose patterns, guide teams ₹36.1 to 41.2 lakh (8 to 18 yrs, 84, small)

A few terms from that table: provisioning means creating accounts and granting access; deprovisioning means removing it; an orphan account is an account with no matching owner; BeanShell is the Java-based scripting language used for IdentityIQ rules.

Consultant pay by experience

Consulting is where pay starts to climb fast. AmbitionBox showed IAM consultants in India at ₹6.1 to 7.9 lakh at 1 to 3 years (40 salaries), ₹10.1 to 11.6 lakh at 3 to 6 years (277), ₹16.7 to 20.8 lakh at 6 to 9 years (121) and ₹18.5 to 25.2 lakh at 9 to 12 years (27). SailPoint consultants showed ₹14.4 to 19.5 lakh at 6 to 9 years (27 salaries). The SailPoint consultant 1 to 3 year band (₹7.1 to 10.3 lakh, 24 salaries) sits above its 3 to 6 year band (₹7.9 to 9.5 lakh, 112 salaries), which is small-sample noise, not a sign that juniors earn more.

Architect pay

AmbitionBox showed identity and access management architects at ₹23.6 to 33.3 lakh at 6 to 9 years (7 salaries), ₹27.9 to 36.8 lakh at 9 to 12 years (21) and ₹39 to 45.2 lakh at 12+ years (54). Architect listings we saw in October 2026, such as a TCS "Sailpoint Architect" role on Naukri, asked for 7 to 10 years.

A caution on "senior IAM consultant" figures

AmbitionBox showed senior IAM consultants at ₹28.7 to 31.8 lakh a year (4 to 10 years, 218 salaries). That looks very high next to IAM consultants at ₹14.4 to 16.1 lakh. The reason: 168 of the 218 salaries come from Pune. It is a Pune-heavy sample, so do not treat it as typical for the title.

Support and administrator roles

AmbitionBox has no separate, usable band for "SailPoint administrator" or "SailPoint support engineer" in our data. The IAM analyst figures are the closest match, since operations job descriptions (UST, EY managed services, ICE, WSP in October 2026) describe the same work: tickets, access reviews, joiner/mover/leaver (JML) fixes and audits.

6. SailPoint salary by company and company type

Short answer: Among popular employers on AmbitionBox in October 2026, Deloitte (₹13 to 17.9 lakh) and PwC (₹10.3 to 15.3 lakh) showed the highest SailPoint developer ranges and TCS and Wipro the lowest, but every company sample was small (5 to 61 salaries).

AmbitionBox lists "popular companies" on its SailPoint developer page. These are typical ranges shown to logged-out users on 24 October 2026. Each company figure covers a mix of experience levels, so read them as indicative only.

Company SailPoint developer range a year Salaries Deloitte ₹13 to 17.9 lakh 11 PwC ₹10.3 to 15.3 lakh 10 HCLTech ₹8.8 to 12.8 lakh 9 Cognizant ₹8 to 11.1 lakh 24 Infosys ₹7.4 to 10.7 lakh 6 Accenture ₹6.8 to 10.1 lakh 21 Capgemini ₹5.9 to 8.5 lakh 9 Tech Mahindra ₹5.3 to 7.9 lakh 5 TCS ₹5.1 to 6.9 lakh 61 Wipro ₹4.9 to 6.8 lakh 20

The same page showed ₹7.1 to 7.9 lakh a year for the "IT Services and Consulting" industry (353 salaries), which is where most SailPoint developers work.

Pay shown on job listings

Some Naukri listings display a pay range. These are recruiter or agency postings, so treat them as one data point each:

  • A Cognizant-labelled "Sailpoint Developer" card posted by the agency Orcapod (Hyderabad, 6 to 10 years) showed "20-30 Lacs PA"
  • A "Sailpoint Developer" role for Virtusa posted by Conqueri Technologies (Hyderabad, 7 to 11 years) showed "18-22.5 Lacs PA"
  • A Coforge "Sailpoint Developer" role (hybrid Gurugram) appeared only in Naukri's similar-jobs panel and an AmbitionBox job card showing 6 to 10 years and "18L - 27.5L/yr"; we could not open the listing itself

These senior listings line up with AmbitionBox's IAM consultant and IAM engineer bands at 6 to 12 years, not with the overall developer average.

Company types

Our job research on 24 October 2026 showed four kinds of employers. The facts do not give a reliable pay average for each type, so here is how they differ in words:

  • Big Four and consulting firms (EY, Deloitte, PwC): implementation work for global clients; AmbitionBox showed their SailPoint developer ranges near the top of the popular-companies list
  • Large IT services firms (TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, Capgemini): many SailPoint roles, wider pay spread, with TCS and Wipro at the lower end
  • GCCs and product companies' India centres (for example LPL Financial, Chubb, PepsiCo, Providence India, Zoetis, ICE in Hyderabad): in-house IAM teams; their listings were mostly senior or lead roles
  • Smaller consultancies and staffing firms: contract and project roles, including a remote long-term contract listing from World Wide Technology (8 to 12 years) seen on Naukri

7. Salary at SailPoint Technologies (the company)

Short answer: AmbitionBox showed SailPoint Technologies' India staff with 664 reported salaries in October 2026, including senior software engineers at ₹30.9 to 36.1 lakh a year; these are product engineering roles, not SailPoint developer roles.

If you searched "SailPoint software engineer salary India", you probably mean this. AmbitionBox's SailPoint Technologies salaries page (updated 21 October 2026, 664 salaries) showed:

Role at SailPoint Technologies Typical range a year Experience and sample Senior DevOps engineer ₹25.1 to 27.7 lakh about 4 yrs, 109 salaries Senior software engineer ₹30.9 to 36.1 lakh 5 to 10 yrs, 52 salaries Staff engineer ₹43 to 48.7 lakh 10 to 15 yrs, 28 salaries

The same page showed a 4.1 rating from 51 reviews. SailPoint's own listings in Pune in October 2026 included "Senior Software Engineer", "Staff Software Engineer - Java/Golang", "Solution Architect" and "Manager, Engineering". To get these jobs, you need strong software engineering skills (Java or Go, cloud, distributed systems), not just SailPoint configuration skills. We did not see any SailPoint company listing in Hyderabad.

8. SailPoint developer salary for freshers: the honest picture

Short answer: AmbitionBox shows no 0 to 1 year band for SailPoint or IAM roles; its lowest band, 1 to 3 years, was about ₹4.8 to 5.6 lakh a year for SailPoint developers in India and Hyderabad in October 2026, and most freshers start in IAM operations, not development.

Let us be direct, because many salary pages are not. On 24 October 2026:

  • Naukri showed 0 results for "sailpoint fresher"
  • A Naukri search for "sailpoint" filtered to 0 years' experience returned 133 results, but most were not SailPoint jobs (Android developers, ASP.NET internships and similar)
  • We found no SailPoint developer listing on Naukri or LinkedIn that genuinely accepted 0 years' experience

So what does a fresher earn? There is no reliable fresher-only figure, and we will not invent one. The closest guides are the 1 to 3 year bands:

Role, 1 to 3 years Typical range a year Sample SailPoint developer, India ₹5 to 5.6 lakh 175 SailPoint developer, Hyderabad ₹4.8 to 5.5 lakh 83 IAM analyst, Hyderabad ₹4 to 5 lakh 59 IAM engineer, India ₹5.9 to 6.9 lakh 158

The realistic route for a B.Tech, BCA, MCA or B.Sc graduate is an IAM operations, access management or support role first. Job titles seen in October 2026 include "Analyst I, Identity and Access Management" (ICE, Hyderabad), "Access Management Operations" (EY, Hyderabad) and EY's managed services IGA staff role. Even these often ask for 1 to 3 years, so service desk, Active Directory or IT support experience helps you get in. After 1 to 3 years of hands-on SailPoint work, you can move to a developer role, where the 3 to 6 year band (₹8.4 to 9.2 lakh in India) applies.

If anyone promises you much higher fresher pay as a SailPoint developer, compare it with the AmbitionBox 1 to 3 year band before you believe it. Our SailPoint jobs guide covers fresher entry points and how to apply.

9. IdentityIQ vs Identity Security Cloud: does the product change your pay?

Short answer: No salary source we checked splits pay by IdentityIQ (IIQ) versus Identity Security Cloud (ISC) skills, so nobody can honestly put a number on the gap; what we can say is that most listings want both, and knowing both widens your options.

IdentityIQ is SailPoint's self-managed product, and SailPoint announced IdentityIQ 9.0 on 6 October 2026 as a modernisation path for hybrid and on-premises customers, according to SailPoint's press release (October 2026). Identity Security Cloud is the SaaS product, now delivered as SailPoint Human Fabric inside SailPoint Identity Security.

What the job market showed on 24 October 2026:

  • Naukri showed 796 results for "sailpoint identityiq" and only 69 for "identitynow", though many cloud listings write "SailPoint ISC" or "IdentityNow (ISC)" instead
  • Big Four teams posted separate IIQ and ISC roles (for example EY "SailPoint IIQ Senior" and "SailPoint ISC Senior", and Deloitte "SailPoint ISC Consultant")
  • PwC's developer listing asked for "IIQ 7.2+ or IdentityNow", and EY's IIQ role listed IdentityNow as desirable

In practice, an engineer who can do IIQ development (Java, BeanShell, connectors) and also configure ISC (sources, transforms, virtual appliances, APIs) fits more listings. More listings mean more offers to compare, which is often how pay goes up.

10. What raises a SailPoint developer's salary

Short answer: The biggest pay lifts come from years of hands-on IIQ or ISC delivery, full implementation experience, strong Java and BeanShell, integrations (AD, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, REST APIs) and a move into consulting or architecture; certification helps but is listed only as "good to have".

We read 11 SailPoint and IAM job descriptions on 24 October 2026. Here is what the higher-level roles asked for, and why each one matters for pay.

Skill or factor What JDs said (October 2026) Why it lifts pay Hands-on years Almost all asked 3+ years; architects and managers 7 to 15 The 3 to 6 year band is about ₹3.5 lakh above the 1 to 3 year band Full implementations Deloitte ISC consultant: at least 2 full IAM implementations Moves you from support pay to consultant pay Java and BeanShell EY IIQ senior: 2+ years Java, BeanShell, JavaScript, REST APIs Custom rules and connectors are the hardest work to hire for Integrations AD, LDAP, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, web services Clients pay for complex onboarding Roles, SoD and certifications RBAC, SoD policies, access reviews (EY, PwC) Core of every IGA programme Cloud and APIs OAuth, JSON, REST, SOAP preferred (Deloitte) Needed for ISC and SaaS app onboarding CI/CD GitHub and Jenkins (EY) Signals senior engineering habits

SoD (separation of duties) means one person should not hold two conflicting powers, such as both creating and approving a payment. RBAC is role-based access control: access is given through roles.

Does SailPoint certification increase salary?

No salary source we read shows a figure for certified versus non-certified SailPoint professionals, so any "certification adds X%" claim is a guess. What we can show:

  • In the JDs we read, SailPoint certification appeared only as "desirable" (EY) or "good to have" (PwC), never as mandatory
  • SailPoint's certification program page (updated 23 September 2026) lists three role-based certifications: SailPoint Certified Identity Security Administrator, SailPoint Certified Identity Security Engineer and SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer, each valid for two years
  • The IdentityIQ Engineer exam recommends 1 to 3 years of implementation experience, according to SailPoint's IdentityIQ Engineer exam prep guide (October 2026)

So certification works best as proof of skills you already use at work. It can help you clear a shortlist or justify a higher number when you switch, but experience drives the band. For exam details, read our guide to SailPoint certification.

Other levers

  • Switching employers: moving from a lower-paying IT services firm to a Big Four or consulting team showed the largest company-level gap in the AmbitionBox data above
  • Shifts and on-call: some roles state US shifts (Deloitte), 17x5 rotational shifts (ICE) or on-call duty (EY managed services); ask whether a shift allowance is part of the offer
  • Moving into leadership: IAM manager, IGA engineering lead and architect titles carry the top bands

11. SailPoint vs CyberArk and other IAM salaries

Short answer: In October 2026, AmbitionBox showed CyberArk engineers at ₹8.4 to 9.3 lakh a year (2 to 9 years, 350 salaries), close to SailPoint developers at ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh (1 to 6 years); the two pay at similar levels, so pick the tool by interest and job fit.

SailPoint is an IGA tool (who should have what access). CyberArk, now part of Palo Alto Networks, is known for privileged access management, or PAM: securing admin and other high-power accounts. Here is how pay compared on AmbitionBox on 24 October 2026.

Role (India) Typical range a year Experience and sample SailPoint developer ₹7.6 to 8.4 lakh 1 to 6 yrs, 562 CyberArk engineer ₹8.4 to 9.3 lakh 2 to 9 yrs, 350 CyberArk developer ₹9.7 to 10.7 lakh ("Medium Confidence") 2 to 7 yrs, 18 (tiny) IAM engineer ₹10 to 11.1 lakh 1 to 10 yrs, 834

By experience, CyberArk engineers showed ₹5.1 to 6.4 lakh at 1 to 3 years (43 salaries), ₹7.1 to 7.9 lakh at 3 to 6 years (240) and ₹10.3 to 13.8 lakh at 6 to 9 years (63). That puts SailPoint developers slightly ahead at 3 to 6 years (₹8.4 to 9.2 lakh) on these samples. Note the experience ranges differ, so a direct comparison is rough.

We did not collect Okta, Saviynt or Java developer salary data for this guide, so we do not compare them with numbers. For CyberArk pay in more detail, see our CyberArk salary in India guide.

What about SailPoint salaries in the USA or Dubai?

People also search for SailPoint developer pay in the USA, Dubai and Australia. We did not verify any overseas figures for this guide, so we do not quote them. If you are planning an onsite move, check current listings in that country and convert at the exchange rate on the day, and remember that living costs differ sharply.

12. CTC vs in-hand: what you actually take home

Short answer: AmbitionBox figures and offer letters are usually yearly CTC; your monthly in-hand pay is lower because CTC can include employer PF, gratuity, variable pay and insurance, and income tax and employee PF come out before salary hits your account.

When a recruiter says "₹8 lakh", ask what that number contains. A typical Indian CTC has parts like these:

  1. Fixed pay: basic salary, house rent allowance (HRA) and other allowances, paid monthly
  2. Variable pay: a performance bonus paid yearly or quarterly, not guaranteed
  3. Employer contributions: employer provident fund (PF) and gratuity, which you do not receive monthly
  4. Benefits: health insurance and similar, valued in CTC but not paid as cash

From the fixed monthly pay, your employer then deducts your own PF contribution, professional tax (in states that charge it) and income tax (TDS). The exact in-hand amount depends on your salary structure and the tax regime you choose, so we do not give one figure. A simple habit helps: ask HR for a monthly salary breakup and compare offers on fixed pay, not on CTC alone.

13. How to negotiate a better SailPoint salary

Short answer: Anchor your ask to dated market data for your exact role, experience band and city, show proof of delivery (applications onboarded, rules built, campaigns run), and compare offers on fixed pay.

Use these steps when you get an offer or ask for a raise.

  1. Find your band. Look up your title and city on AmbitionBox and note the experience band that matches you, with the sample size. For example, a 4-year SailPoint developer in Hyderabad sits in the ₹8.1 to 9.4 lakh band (175 salaries, October 2026).
  2. Check the right title. If your work matches an IAM engineer or consultant role, use those bands. Many developers are under-titled.
  3. List proof. Count what you delivered: how many applications you onboarded, which connectors (AD, JDBC, delimited file, SAP, Workday), how many certification campaigns you ran, which rules and workflows you wrote.
  4. Show both products. If you have IIQ and ISC experience, say so clearly. It widens the roles you can do.
  5. Ask for the breakup. Compare fixed pay, variable pay and benefits across offers.
  6. Use timing. Switching jobs is usually where the biggest jumps happen. Have a second offer or a clear market range before you negotiate.
  7. Ask about extras. Shift allowance, certification sponsorship, notice period buyout and joining bonus are often easier to win than a higher base.

Is SailPoint IIQ developer salary higher than ISC developer salary?

No salary source we checked splits pay between IdentityIQ and Identity Security Cloud skills, so the gap cannot be measured honestly. Naukri showed far more results for "sailpoint identityiq" than "identitynow" in October 2026, while Big Four firms posted both IIQ and ISC roles. Knowing both products lets you apply for more roles and compare more offers.

Does SailPoint certification increase salary?

No salary data we read compares certified and non-certified SailPoint professionals, so there is no proven figure. Job descriptions from EY and PwC listed SailPoint certification only as desirable or good to have, never mandatory. Certification helps most as proof of skills you already use, which can support a higher ask when you switch jobs.

AmbitionBox showed SailPoint developers in Pune at ₹6.3 to 8.6 lakh a year on 33 salaries, and in Chennai at ₹5.9 to 8.8 lakh on 22 salaries, in October 2026. What is the monthly salary of a SailPoint developer?

Dividing AmbitionBox's yearly figures by 12 gives a rough gross monthly amount. ₹5 lakh a year is about ₹41,700 a month and ₹8.4 lakh a year is about ₹70,000 a month before deductions. Your in-hand pay is lower because of employee PF, professional tax, income tax and parts of CTC such as variable pay and gratuity.

What is the difference between CTC and in-hand salary?

CTC is the full yearly package an employer quotes, including fixed pay, variable pay, employer PF, gratuity and benefits such as insurance. In-hand salary is what reaches your bank account each month after your PF, professional tax and income tax are deducted from fixed pay. Always ask HR for a monthly breakup and compare offers on fixed pay.

How fast does SailPoint salary grow?

The fastest growth comes around the 3-year mark. AmbitionBox showed SailPoint developers rising from ₹5 to 5.6 lakh at 1 to 3 years to ₹8.4 to 9.2 lakh at 3 to 6 years in October 2026. After that, growth usually comes from changing title to IAM engineer, consultant or architect, where bands reach ₹15 lakh and well beyond.

How do I negotiate a higher SailPoint salary?

Find the AmbitionBox band for your exact title, experience and city, and check whether an IAM engineer or consultant band fits your work better. List proof such as applications onboarded, connectors used and campaigns run. Highlight both IIQ and ISC skills, compare offers on fixed pay, and ask about shift allowance, joining bonus and certification sponsorship.
