Generative AI Certification 2026 guide by Brolly Academy

Quick answer

The best generative AI certification depends on your role: Google Cloud Generative AI Leader ($99) or AWS Certified AI Practitioner ($100) for beginners and managers, and AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional ($300), Databricks Generative AI Engineer Associate ($200), NVIDIA NCA-GENL ($125) or Microsoft's AI-103 for developers. All prices are in US dollars on the official exam pages in October 2026, and Microsoft prices vary by country. A certification is a proctored exam from a vendor. A course certificate only shows you finished a course. Both help, but neither replaces real project work.

  • For non-technical roles and managers: Google Cloud Generative AI Leader (90 minutes, 50 to 60 questions, valid 3 years)
  • For your first cloud AI exam: AWS Certified AI Practitioner (65 questions, 90 minutes) or Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (exam AI-901)
  • For developers who build GenAI apps: AWS AIP-C01, Microsoft AI-103, Databricks Generative AI Engineer Associate or NVIDIA NCA-GENL
  • For ML engineers on Google Cloud: Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer ($200, 2 hours)
  • Free routes: official prep paths and sample questions are free; the proctored exams themselves are paid

Key takeaways

  1. Separate proctored vendor certifications (Google, Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, Databricks) from course completion certificates (Coursera, university and institute programmes). Recruiters treat them differently.
  2. Microsoft changed its line-up: AI-901 has replaced AI-900, the AI-102 certification is retired, and the current associate exam is AI-103.
  3. Entry-level exams cost $99 to $125; developer and professional exams cost $200 to $300 (official pages, October 2026).
  4. In 12 Indian GenAI job descriptions we read on 24 October 2026, only one (PwC) said certifications were "preferred", and none required one. Skills such as Python and RAG appeared far more often.
  5. Pick the certification that matches the cloud and the job you want, prepare with the free official material first, and build one project alongside it.

1. Generative AI certifications at a glance

Short answer: Nine vendor certification exams cover generative AI in October 2026, from business-level exams at $99 to professional developer exams at $300, plus several course certificates that are not proctored exams.

Use this table to shortlist. Costs are as stated on each official page in October 2026, in US dollars, before tax.

Certification Issuer and level Cost as stated Best for Generative AI Leader Google Cloud, foundational $99 Managers, business and non-technical roles Professional Machine Learning Engineer Google Cloud, professional $200 ML engineers on Google Cloud Azure AI Fundamentals (exam AI-901) Microsoft, fundamentals Varies by country Beginners in the Microsoft ecosystem Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate (exam AI-103) Microsoft, intermediate Varies by country Python developers building agents on Azure AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01) AWS, foundational $100 Beginners, analysts, sales, product and support staff AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional (AIP-C01) AWS, professional $300 Experienced developers building GenAI on AWS NCA-GENL and NCA-GENM NVIDIA, associate $125 each Developers and ML learners who want a vendor-neutral LLM or multimodal exam Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer Associate Databricks, associate $200 Data engineers and developers building RAG apps on Databricks

And here is how the exams compare on format:

Oracle's OCI Generative AI Professional is also popular in India, but we could not verify its current exam details on Oracle's own pages (see section 10).

2. Certification vs course certificate: know the difference

Short answer: A certification is a proctored, timed exam set by a vendor that you pass or fail; a course certificate shows you completed a course. Recruiters weigh them differently, so know which one you are buying.

This is the most common confusion among Indian learners. Many online courses say "with certificate", and many students assume it is the same as a Google or AWS certification. It is not.

Point Vendor certification Course completion certificate Who issues it Google Cloud, Microsoft, AWS, NVIDIA, Databricks, Oracle Coursera partners, universities, training institutes How you earn it Pass a proctored exam online or at a test centre Finish videos, quizzes and assignments Expiry Usually 2 or 3 years, then renew Usually does not expire What it proves You know a vendor's tools and concepts to a set standard You studied a structured syllabus Typical cost $99 to $300 per exam attempt Free to lakhs of rupees

Both have value. A course teaches you; a certification tests you. The strongest profile has both, plus a GitHub project that shows you can build. If you want to compare what courses cost in India, our guide to generative AI course fees breaks down each tier.

A few words you will see on exam pages:

  • Proctored: a live or recorded invigilator watches you through your webcam, or you sit in a test centre
  • Foundational / fundamentals: entry level, concepts and use cases, little or no coding
  • Associate: working knowledge, usually some hands-on building
  • Professional: advanced, assumes years of real project experience
  • Recertification: renewing a certification before it expires

3. Google Cloud Generative AI Leader

Short answer: Google Cloud's Generative AI Leader is a foundational, non-technical exam: 90 minutes, 50 to 60 multiple-choice questions, $99, valid for 3 years, with no prerequisites.

According to the official Google Cloud certification page (October 2026), the exam is meant for anyone in any job role, with or without hands-on technical experience. Google Cloud's launch blog targets managers, administrators and leaders in HR, marketing, finance and sales. It became available globally on 14 May 2025.

Exam facts from the Google Cloud page (October 2026):

  • Format: 90 minutes, 50 to 60 multiple-choice questions
  • Cost: $99 plus tax where applicable
  • Languages: English, Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese
  • Delivery: online-proctored (your setup must meet Pearson VUE's online testing rules) or at a Pearson VUE test centre
  • Registration: through Google Cloud's CertMetrics portal, for both the standard exam and the renewal exam
  • Validity: 3 years; prerequisites: none

The exam has four sections. Google Cloud's launch blog gave approximate weights: fundamentals of gen AI about 30%, Google Cloud's gen AI offerings about 35%, techniques to improve gen AI model output about 20%, and business strategies for a successful gen AI solution about 15%. The certification page says the exam was recently updated for branding changes, so check the exam guide before you study.

Google Cloud also offers a no-cost Generative AI Leader learning path of five courses, about 7 to 8 hours in total: Gen AI: Beyond the chatbot; Gen AI: Unlock foundational concepts; Gen AI: Navigate the landscape; Gen AI Apps: Transform your work; and Gen AI Agents: Transform your organization. The certification page links a study guide, the exam guide and untimed sample questions.

This is a summary only. For the full domain breakdown, registration steps, a study plan and practice questions, read our Google Cloud Generative AI Leader certification guide.

4. Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer

Short answer: The Professional Machine Learning Engineer exam is Google Cloud's advanced ML certification: 2 hours, 50 to 60 questions, $200, with 3+ years of industry experience recommended.

This is not a GenAI-only exam. It covers building, training and running ML systems on Google Cloud, and Google Cloud's page (October 2026) says it was updated for the move from Vertex AI to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly Vertex AI). Google combined Vertex AI into this platform on 22 April 2026, and Vertex AI Studio became Agent Studio. So study the new platform names, not old Vertex AI notes.

Exam facts from the Google Cloud page (October 2026):

  • Format: 2 hours, 50 to 60 multiple-choice and multiple-select questions
  • Cost: $200 plus tax
  • Languages: English and Japanese
  • Prerequisites: none, but Google recommends 3+ years of industry experience, including 1+ year designing and managing solutions on Google Cloud
  • Delivery: online or at a test centre, registered through CertMetrics
  • Validity: not stated on the exam page (the page links a renewal FAQ)

Choose it if you already work as a data scientist or ML engineer and your company runs on Google Cloud. For a fresher, the Generative AI Leader or a foundational AWS or Microsoft exam is a better first step.

5. Microsoft generative AI certifications (AI-901 and AI-103)

Short answer: In October 2026 Microsoft's GenAI path is Azure AI Fundamentals (exam AI-901) for beginners and Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate (exam AI-103) for developers; AI-900 has been replaced and the AI-102 certification is retired.

Many blogs still recommend AI-900 and AI-102. Microsoft Learn pages say otherwise (October 2026):

  • AI-901 has replaced AI-900 as the exam for Azure AI Fundamentals.
  • The Azure AI Engineer Associate certification (exam AI-102) and its renewal assessment are retired. Do not plan your study around it.
  • The current associate-level AI certification is Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate, exam AI-103.
  • Azure AI Foundry is now called Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft's platform for AI apps and agents (it includes Azure OpenAI).

Azure AI Fundamentals (exam AI-901)

This is the entry exam. Microsoft Learn (October 2026) lists two skill areas: identify AI concepts and capabilities (40 to 45%), and implement AI solutions by using Microsoft Foundry (55 to 60%). The passing score is 700, the exam is offered in 13 languages, and the price depends on the country where you take it. It suits freshers, testers, analysts and anyone whose company runs on Microsoft Azure.

Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate (exam AI-103)

This is the developer exam. The Microsoft Learn certification page (October 2026) describes it as intermediate, for Azure AI engineers who build agents and AI solutions with Python and Microsoft Foundry. Key facts:

  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Skill areas: plan and manage an Azure AI solution; generative AI and agentic solutions; computer vision; text analysis; information extraction
  • Languages: 10
  • Booking: through Pearson VUE; price by country

Microsoft has not published domain weights for AI-103 on the pages we checked, so do not trust third-party percentages. AI-103 fits .NET and Python developers in Indian IT services firms that run Azure projects. One Tech Mahindra job description we read on 24 October 2026 asked for Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search and Semantic Kernel, which is close to what this exam covers.

6. AWS generative AI certifications

Short answer: AWS has two GenAI-focused certifications: AWS Certified AI Practitioner (foundational, $100, 65 questions) and AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional (AIP-C01, $300, 75 questions, 180 minutes).

"AWS generative AI certification" is the most searched vendor variant in India, and AWS gives you a clear two-step path.

AWS Certified AI Practitioner (AIF-C01)

According to AWS's certification page (October 2026), this is a foundational exam that does not require you to build AI or ML solutions. Facts:

  • Format: 65 questions, 90 minutes
  • Cost: $100
  • Validity: 3 years
  • Languages: 12 (AWS noted that the Italian and German versions retire after 15 October 2026)

It suits freshers, business analysts, project managers, pre-sales and support staff who need to talk about AI on AWS with confidence.

AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional (AIP-C01)

This is the hardest exam on this list. The AWS certification page (October 2026) lists:

  • Format: 75 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions, 180 minutes
  • Cost: $300
  • Languages: English, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese
  • Target candidate: 2+ years building production applications on AWS or with open-source tools, plus 1+ year of hands-on GenAI work
  • Validity: not stated on the page

On AWS, the main service for this work is Amazon Bedrock, which AWS describes as a service to build generative AI applications and agents with foundation models (large models trained on broad data that you adapt to many tasks). This exam fits engineers on AWS projects: one Infosys Hyderabad job description we read on 24 October 2026 asked for AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, S3, ECS and EKS.

AWS also runs an AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer, Associate exam. Its page is live, but we did not verify its details for this guide.

7. NVIDIA generative AI certifications (NCA-GENL and NCA-GENM)

Short answer: NVIDIA offers two associate exams: NCA-GENL for large language models and NCA-GENM for multimodal AI; each is 1 hour, 50 to 60 questions, $125 and valid for 2 years.

NVIDIA's exams are less tied to one cloud, which makes them useful if you work across platforms.

NCA-GENL: Generative AI LLMs, Associate

The NVIDIA certification page (October 2026) lists 50 to 60 multiple-choice questions in 1 hour, a $125 fee, 2-year validity (you recertify by retaking the exam), English only, and booking through a Certiverse account. The only prerequisite is a basic understanding of generative AI and LLMs (large language models: models trained on huge amounts of text to predict the next token, a small chunk of text).

The section weights help you plan:

NCA-GENL section Weight Core machine learning and AI knowledge 30% Software development 24% Experimentation 22% Data analysis 14% Trustworthy AI 10%

NCA-GENM: Generative AI Multimodal, Associate

NVIDIA's multimodal exam has the same shape: 50 to 60 questions, 1 hour, $125, valid 2 years, English, taken online with remote proctoring through Certiverse (NVIDIA, October 2026). Multimodal means models that work with more than one kind of data, such as text, images and audio. Pick it if you are more interested in image or video generation than in chat and text apps.

8. Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer Associate

Short answer: Databricks' GenAI exam is a developer-level associate certification: 45 scored questions, 90 minutes, $200, valid 2 years, with a heavy focus on building and deploying RAG applications.

The Databricks certification page (October 2026) lists these facts:

  • Format: 45 scored questions, 90 minutes
  • Cost: $200
  • Validity: 2 years
  • Languages: English, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Korean
  • Delivery: online or at a test centre
  • Prerequisites: none, though Databricks strongly recommends training

The exam sections and weights:

Databricks section Weight Design Applications 14% Data Preparation 14% Application Development 30% Assembling and Deploying Apps 22% Governance 8% Evaluation and Monitoring 12%

RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) means the app first searches your own documents, usually stored as embeddings (number lists that capture meaning) in a vector database, and then passes the best matches to the LLM so it answers from real data. Evaluation and monitoring check answers for quality and hallucination, which is when a model confidently makes things up. These are exactly the skills Indian job descriptions ask for most, which makes this exam a strong choice for data engineers and Python developers. Our guide on how to become a generative AI engineer explains how these skills fit the role.

9. Professional certificates and course-based options

Short answer: Course certificates from IBM, DeepLearning.AI, Google Cloud (on Coursera) and universities teach GenAI in depth, but they are not proctored certifications; use them to learn, then prove skills with a project or exam.

These are the main options we checked on official pages in October 2026:

  • IBM Generative AI Engineering Professional Certificate (Coursera): beginner level, a 16-course series taking about 6 months at 6 hours a week. Skills include RAG, LangChain, vector databases, PyTorch, fine-tuning and agents. It is included with Coursera Plus, which has a free trial, and Coursera offers financial aid (Coursera, October 2026).
  • Generative AI with Large Language Models (DeepLearning.AI and AWS): intermediate, 13 hours 18 minutes, 47 videos and 3 graded assignments. It covers transformers, fine-tuning, LoRA (a cheap way to fine-tune by training small add-on matrices instead of the whole model), RLHF (training with human feedback) and ReAct agents. On Coursera, the page showed a $49 monthly subscription with the first module free to preview (DeepLearning.AI and Coursera, October 2026).
  • Introduction to Generative AI (Google Cloud, on Coursera): a beginner micro-course of about 1 hour, with more than 1.8 million learners enrolled and a 4.7 rating when checked. Auditing is not available, so full access needs payment, Coursera Plus or financial aid (Coursera, October 2026).
  • Generative AI for Everyone (DeepLearning.AI): a 5-hour course by Andrew Ng; the page says you earn a certificate with PRO, but no price was shown.
  • University programmes: IIT Kharagpur's online Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Generative AI and Agentic AI runs 8 months, live online, at about ₹2 lakh. The programme page showed ₹2,04,000 inclusive of taxes, while IIT KGP's own blog said ₹1,99,000 (IIT Kharagpur, October 2026). Eligibility mentions 2 years of tech experience.

Training institutes and edtech platforms sit between these two ends, usually with live classes, projects and placement help. The generative AI course fees guide covers that tier.

10. Oracle and other vendor options

Short answer: Oracle's OCI Generative AI Professional is widely searched in India, but its exam page did not load for us in October 2026, so check the current code, price and format on Oracle University before you register.

Oracle has a free learning path called "Become an OCI Generative AI Professional" on its MyLearn site, but we could not read its content, and the exam page timed out twice. Many blogs quote a price, question count and exam code for this certification. We have not verified those details, so confirm the exam code, price and format on Oracle's own site.

If you work on SAP, Salesforce or another enterprise platform, check that vendor's official certification site for AI exams. We did not verify those for this guide. Prefer an exam from the platform your employer or target employer already uses.

11. Free generative AI certification options

Short answer: You can prepare for free, but almost every proctored GenAI exam costs money; free routes give you learning paths, sample questions, badges and course previews rather than a free vendor certification.

Here is what is genuinely free or low-cost, based on official pages in October 2026:

  1. Google Cloud Generative AI Leader learning path: five no-cost courses, about 7 to 8 hours, plus untimed sample questions on the certification page.
  2. Coursera financial aid: the IBM and Google Cloud course pages say financial aid is available, and Coursera Plus has a free trial.
  3. DeepLearning.AI course previews: the first module of Generative AI with Large Language Models is free to preview on Coursera.
  4. Oracle's OCI Generative AI learning path: listed as a free learning path on Oracle MyLearn (content not verified by us).
  5. Vendor exam guides: every vendor publishes its exam guide or skills outline free, and it is the best syllabus you can get.

Be careful with "free generative AI certification" ads. A free certificate from an unknown site rarely helps your resume. A free official learning path followed by a paid proctored exam usually does.

12. Which generative AI certification is best for you?

Short answer: Choose by role and cloud: Generative AI Leader for non-technical roles, AWS AI Practitioner or AI-901 for freshers, AIP-C01, AI-103, Databricks or NCA-GENL for developers, and the Google Professional ML Engineer for experienced ML engineers.

There is no single "best generative AI certification". The right one matches your background and the cloud used by the companies you want to join.

Your profile First certification Next step Manager, marketer, HR, sales or non-IT professional Google Cloud Generative AI Leader AWS AI Practitioner if your firm uses AWS B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc or MCA fresher AWS AI Practitioner or Microsoft AI-901 NVIDIA NCA-GENL once you can code a RAG app Python, Java or .NET developer AI-103 (Azure shops) or Databricks GenAI Engineer Associate AWS AIP-C01 after 1+ year of GenAI work Data scientist or ML engineer NVIDIA NCA-GENL or Databricks Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer Cloud or DevOps engineer AWS AI Practitioner or AI-901 on your cloud AWS AIP-C01 or AI-103 Software tester or QA engineer Microsoft AI-901 or AWS AI Practitioner Databricks (its 12% evaluation and monitoring section fits testing)

Some practical notes:

  • Non-technical and managers: the Generative AI Leader exam was built for you. It tests concepts, Google Cloud products and business strategy, not coding.
  • Freshers: start with a $100 foundational exam, then spend your energy on projects. A fresher with one foundational certification and a working RAG chatbot on GitHub stands out more than one with three certificates and no code.
  • Developers: follow your employer's cloud. Indian IT services firms run projects on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, so the right exam is the one your next project needs.
  • Data professionals: Databricks and NVIDIA test practical LLM building without locking you to one cloud.
  • Agentic AI: if you are deciding between agentic and generative AI learning, read our agentic AI vs generative AI comparison. AI-103 already covers generative AI and agentic solutions, and the free Generative AI Leader path includes a course on gen AI agents.

13. A 6-week prep plan for any generative AI certification

Short answer: Spend six weeks at about an hour a day: read the exam guide, take the free official course, build one small project, then practise with sample questions and revise weak areas.

This plan works for foundational and associate exams. For professional exams such as AIP-C01, double it and add real project time.

Week Focus What you should finish 1 Download the official exam guide, list every domain and its weight, and book your exam for the end of week 6 A checklist of topics and a fixed exam date 2 Core concepts: LLMs, tokens, prompts, context windows, embeddings, RAG, fine-tuning, hallucination One-page notes in your own words 3 The vendor's official learning path or course All modules done; notes on vendor product names 4 Hands-on: build a small app on the vendor's platform (a RAG chatbot over a PDF is ideal) A working demo and a GitHub repo 5 Official sample questions; revise high-weight domains first A list of weak areas 6 Revise weak areas, read the exam rules, test your online setup Exam day

Quick definitions for week 2: a token is a small chunk of text the model reads; a prompt is the instruction you give; the context window is how much text the model can consider at once; fine-tuning means further training a model on your own examples.

Prioritise by weight. For example, Application Development is 30% of the Databricks exam, while Governance is 8%. If you need a longer, skills-first learning path beyond one exam, follow our generative AI roadmap.

14. Is a generative AI certification worth it? What Indian JDs say

Short answer: A certification is worth it as a structured learning goal and a resume signal, but Indian job descriptions in October 2026 rarely required one; skills such as Python, RAG, LangChain and cloud services mattered far more.

We read 12 GenAI job descriptions from Indian listings on 24 October 2026, from firms including Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, PwC, Tiger Analytics, Coforge, Wells Fargo, TCS, JPMorganChase and Crisil. Here is what they showed:

  • Certifications: only PwC's "Data scientist - Generative AI" listing said relevant AI or GenAI certifications were preferred. None of the 12 required a certification.
  • Skills: all 12 named Python and LLMs or LLM APIs; 11 of 12 named RAG; 8 named LangChain and 5 named LangGraph. Vector databases, prompt engineering, evaluation and agent frameworks came up again and again.
  • Cloud: Infosys asked for AWS SageMaker and Bedrock, Tech Mahindra for Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry, and Capgemini, PwC and Wells Fargo for any major cloud. This is where a cloud certification helps most.
  • Entry-level listings: the two 0 to 2 year listings we read (Jobaaj.com for a client, and TVS Credit) asked for Python, LLM APIs, RAG and vector databases; one said internships and projects count, and the other said strong project portfolios from fresh candidates may be considered. Neither mentioned certifications.
  • Equivalent training counts: Wells Fargo's listing accepted experience "or equivalent" through work, training or education.

Keyword searches tell the same story. On 24 October 2026, Naukri showed about 10,953 results for "generative ai" in India, 7,585 for "rag" and 4,323 for "langchain". These are keyword-match counts that include duplicates and loosely related roles, not a count of open jobs. Still, they show that skill keywords drive search far more than certification names.

So when is a certification worth it?

  • Yes: when you are switching into AI and need a structured goal, when your target employer is a cloud partner, when you work in pre-sales or consulting where clients ask for credentials, or when you are a manager who needs a shared vocabulary.
  • Less so: when it replaces building. A certificate with no project rarely clears a technical interview.

15. Exam tips that save marks

Short answer: Read the official exam guide first, study by domain weight, use only official sample questions to judge readiness, and test your online proctoring setup a day before.

  1. Use the exam guide as your syllabus. Third-party dumps are often outdated, especially after renames like Vertex AI to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Azure AI Foundry to Microsoft Foundry.
  2. Learn the current product names. Exams update for branding changes. Google's Leader page says its exam was recently updated for branding.
  3. Weight your time. Spend the most time on the biggest sections, such as Google Cloud's offerings (about 35%) in the Leader exam.
  4. Read scenario questions twice. Many questions ask for the "best" or "most cost-effective" option. Underline the constraint before you pick.
  5. Flag and move on. Most of these exams give you roughly one to two minutes per question, so do not get stuck.
  6. Check your online setup early. Online exams need a quiet room, a webcam and a clean desk. If your home internet is unreliable, book a test centre.
  7. Book a date. A booked exam date turns "someday" into a six-week plan.
  8. Build while you study. One small project makes concepts stick and gives you something to talk about in interviews. Our generative AI interview questions guide helps you prepare for that conversation.

16. How Brolly Academy helps

Short answer: Brolly Academy's 3-month Generative AI course teaches the skills that GenAI certifications and job descriptions test, such as LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, fine-tuning and LLMs on cloud, with a Brolly completion certificate.

The Generative AI Training in Hyderabad course page (checked October 2026) lists:

  • Duration and modes: 3 months, classroom and live online, plus a self-paced video recording plan, with weekday and weekend batches
  • Fees: Video Recording ₹14,999, Online Course ₹35,000, Classroom Training ₹40,000, with EMI on the classroom and online plans
  • Trainers: Mr. Dinesh, Generative AI Specialist and Cloud Architect with 12+ years in AI, ML and Generative AI, with co-trainers Ms. Madhumitha (Senior AI and ML Mentor, 15+ years) and Tabassum (AI and NLP Engineer, 7+ years)
  • Syllabus: 16 modules, including prompt engineering, large language models, embeddings, chunking, RAG and advanced RAG with LangChain, vector databases, fine-tuning with LoRA and QLoRA, LLM evaluation, LLMOps, and LLMs on cloud with Amazon Bedrock and Azure OpenAI
  • Projects: capstones such as an AI chatbot with GPT and LangChain, a Stable Diffusion image generator and multi-agent AI workflows
  • Support: resume help, mock interviews and placement assistance

To be clear: the course gives a Brolly Academy completion certificate. It does not include or promise a vendor certification. Its cloud module (Amazon Bedrock and Azure OpenAI) and its RAG, evaluation and fine-tuning modules overlap with what the AWS, Microsoft and Databricks exams cover, so many learners take the course first and a vendor exam afterwards. You can attend a free demo class before you enrol.

Want the skills behind the certification, not just the badge?

Join Brolly Academy's 3-month Generative AI course in Hyderabad or online. Learn LLMs, RAG, LangChain, vector databases, fine-tuning and LLMs on Amazon Bedrock and Azure OpenAI, build capstone projects, and prepare for your chosen vendor exam with a strong project portfolio. What is the difference between a certification and a course certificate?

A certification is a proctored, timed exam from a vendor that you pass or fail, and it usually expires after two or three years. Recruiters value both more when you also show a project.

Is a generative AI certification worth it in India?

A generative AI certification is worth it in India as a learning goal and resume signal, but it is rarely mandatory. Can I get a job with only a generative AI certification?

A certification alone rarely gets you a GenAI job. Indian job descriptions focus on skills such as Python, LLM APIs, RAG, LangChain and vector databases, and interviewers test whether you can build. Use the certification to structure your learning, then show at least one working project on GitHub, such as a RAG chatbot over documents.

How long does it take to prepare for a generative AI certification?

Most people need about six weeks at an hour a day for a foundational or associate exam. That covers the exam guide, the official course, one small project and practice questions. Google's free Generative AI Leader learning path alone takes about 7 to 8 hours. Professional exams such as AWS AIP-C01 need much longer and real project experience.
