Quick answer
Agentic AI course fees range from zero for free official courses to a one-time fee for live, mentored training, and the right choice depends on how much structure, project feedback and placement support you need. Several strong learning options cost nothing, such as the Hugging Face Agents Course and the free audit of the DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course. Paid courses charge more because they add live classes, a fixed schedule, mentors who review your projects, and career support. If you also want a vendor certification, the exam fee is separate and usually billed in US dollars.
- Free: Hugging Face Agents Course, DeepLearning.AI audit, open-source framework docs
- Low cost: subscription certificates, such as DeepLearning.AI Pro at $25 per month billed annually
- Exam fees: from $99 (Google Cloud Generative AI Leader) to $300 (AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional)
- Paid live courses: one-time fee, usually covering live classes, projects, mentorship and placement help
- Hidden costs: LLM API usage, cloud accounts, a decent laptop and your own time
Key takeaways
- You can learn the core ideas of agentic AI for free. What you pay for in a course is structure, feedback, accountability and career help.
- Course format, duration, number of real projects, mentor access and placement support are the five biggest drivers of fees.
- Certification exams are a separate cost. NVIDIA's agentic AI exam costs $200, and its registration showed "Coming soon" in October 2026.
- Always budget for hidden costs such as LLM API calls and cloud usage, even when the course itself is free.
- Judge a course by its syllabus, projects and trainer, not by its discount. Ask the questions in this guide before you pay anything.
1. How much does an agentic AI course cost in India?
Short answer: It can cost nothing, a monthly subscription, or a one-time fee. Free official courses teach the concepts. Subscription platforms charge for certificates. Live classroom and online courses charge a one-time fee because they include trainers, projects and placement support.
First, a quick definition so the fee discussion makes sense. Agentic AI means AI systems that pursue a goal on their own. They use a large language model (LLM), which is the AI model behind tools like ChatGPT, to plan steps, call tools and check their own results. An agentic AI course teaches you to build these systems, not just to chat with them.
Because the field is new, prices vary a lot. You will see three broad levels of cost when you search for an agentic AI course in India:
There is no standard fee for an agentic AI course. The word "course" can mean a short video series or a months-long programme with several projects. So instead of chasing the lowest number, compare what each rupee buys.
2. What drives agentic AI course fees
Short answer: Five things decide most of the price: the format (recorded, live online or classroom), the duration, the number and depth of projects, mentor access, and placement support. Tool access, batch size and the type of certificate also play a part.
Here is what usually explains the gap between two courses with the same title.
Format: recorded, live online or classroom
Recorded courses cost the least because one recording serves many learners. Live online classes cost more because a trainer answers your batch's questions in real time. Classroom training usually costs the most because it adds a venue, a lab and face-to-face support. If you finish what you start, recorded content can be enough. If you tend to stop after week two, a live batch with a timetable is often worth the extra fee.
Duration and depth
A short course can explain what an agent is. A longer course has time to take you through the full stack: Python, LLM basics, tool calling, RAG, one framework, multi-agent orchestration, evaluation and deployment.
A few terms you will see in every syllabus:
- Tool calling: the LLM asks your code to run a function, such as searching a database or sending an email, and uses the result.
- RAG (retrieval-augmented generation): the agent looks up relevant documents first and then answers using them, which reduces made-up answers.
- Orchestration: the logic that decides which step, tool or agent runs next and passes information between them.
- MCP (Model Context Protocol): an open standard that lets agents connect to tools and data sources in a consistent way.
More topics mean more teaching hours, and that usually means a higher fee. If you want to see what a complete course should cover, read our agentic AI syllabus guide.
Projects and mentor reviews
Projects are where you actually learn. Watching someone build an agent is not the same as debugging your own agent when it calls the wrong tool. Courses that include several real projects, and a mentor who reviews your code, cost more because reviews take expert time. For job seekers this is often the part of the fee that pays back the most, because projects become your portfolio.
Placement support
Placement support can include resume and LinkedIn reviews, mock interviews, interview referrals and a dedicated placement officer. It adds real cost for the provider, so it raises the fee. Read the exact wording, though. "Placement assistance" means help with your job search. It does not mean a guaranteed job.
Tools, batch size and certificate
Some courses include access to paid tools or cloud labs during training. Small batches cost more per learner than large ones. A certificate from a course provider is different from a vendor certification exam, which you pay for separately. We cover exam fees in section 4.
3. Free and low-cost official options
Short answer: You can learn a lot for free. The Hugging Face Agents Course is free with certificates, the DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course is free to audit, IBM's professional certificate on Coursera shows "Enroll for free", and every major framework publishes free documentation under open-source licences.
Try the free material from the companies that build these tools first. It shows whether you enjoy the work and makes any paid course easier.
Hugging Face Agents Course
The Hugging Face Agents Course is free (Hugging Face, October 2026). It covers smolagents, LangGraph and LlamaIndex, and it offers a fundamentals certificate for Unit 1 plus a completion certificate. It suits you if you can already write basic Python and want to build agents rather than just read about them.
DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course
The DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course by Andrew Ng is an intermediate course of about 9 hours 55 minutes (DeepLearning.AI, October 2026). It teaches four design patterns: reflection, tool use, planning and multi-agent collaboration. You can audit it for free. The certificate needs a Pro membership at $25 per month, billed annually. This is one of the best low-cost ways to understand how agents are designed.
IBM RAG and Agentic AI Professional Certificate
IBM's RAG and Agentic AI Professional Certificate on Coursera has 10 courses at an advanced level and covers LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AG2, BeeAI and MCP (Coursera course page, October 2026). The page shows "Enroll for free". Check the current certificate terms on the page before you start, because platform pricing can change.
Free frameworks and low-cost practice tools
The frameworks themselves cost nothing. LangGraph, CrewAI, the OpenAI Agents SDK, Microsoft Agent Framework and Pydantic AI are released under the MIT licence, and Google's Agent Development Kit uses Apache-2.0 for its Python repository (official GitHub repositories, October 2026). Note that Microsoft AutoGen is archived. Microsoft now points new users to Microsoft Agent Framework, so learn that instead.
If you want to practise with visual, low-code builders, some have free plans (vendor pricing pages, October 2026):
- Dify: free Sandbox plan with 200 message credits, plus a free self-hosted edition.
- n8n: free self-hosted Community Edition; cloud Starter from €20 per month billed annually, with a free trial that needs no card.
- Langflow: free cloud account and an MIT-licensed open-source version.
Free is a great starting point. The catch is that nobody checks your work, sets deadlines or helps with your job search. That is the gap paid courses try to fill. Our agentic AI roadmap shows how to order these free resources week by week.
4. Certification exam costs
Short answer: Vendor exams are paid separately from any course. In October 2026 they ranged from $99 for the Google Cloud Generative AI Leader exam to $300 for AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional. NVIDIA's agentic AI exam costs $200, but registration showed "Coming soon".
A course certificate shows you finished a course. A vendor certification shows you passed a proctored exam set by a company such as NVIDIA, AWS, Google, Databricks or Microsoft, and you pay its fee to the vendor or its exam partner.
Notes on each exam
The NVIDIA-Certified Professional: Agentic AI exam is the most directly "agentic" of the group. It is intermediate, costs $200, and NVIDIA recommends 1 to 2 years of AI or ML experience (NVIDIA, October 2026). On 23 October 2026 the registration button showed "Coming soon", so you may not be able to book it yet.
The AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam costs 100 USD and has no prerequisites (AWS, October 2026), which makes it the gentlest paid starting point. The AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional exam costs 300 USD and AWS recommends 2 or more years of AWS experience plus 1 year with generative AI (AWS, October 2026).
The Google Cloud Generative AI Leader exam costs $99 and has no prerequisites (Google Cloud certification page, October 2026). Agents are not listed as a named topic, and we found no Google Cloud certification focused only on agents. The Databricks Certified Generative AI Engineer Associate exam costs $200 and recommends 6 or more months of hands-on experience (Databricks certification page, October 2026).
For Microsoft, the Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) certification is retired. The newer Microsoft exam on AI apps and agents is AI-103, for the Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate. Its price varies by country, and it covers Python, Microsoft Foundry and implementing generative AI and agentic solutions (Microsoft Learn, October 2026).
Paying in dollars from India
Most exam fees are listed in US dollars. The rupee amount you pay depends on the exchange rate on the day and any charges your bank or the exam provider adds, so check the final amount at checkout. Microsoft says its AI-103 exam price varies by country, so check the price shown for India.
Should you take an exam at all? It depends on your goal. For a full comparison of which certificate suits which learner, read our guide to agentic AI certification.
5. Hidden costs to budget for
Short answer: Even a free course has running costs. Plan for LLM API usage, cloud accounts, a laptop that can run your tools, a stable internet connection, possible exam retakes, and the time you take away from work or study.
LLM API usage
Agents call an LLM many times to finish one task, because they plan, call tools and check results in a loop. If you use a paid model API, every call costs money based on the amount of text sent and received. A buggy agent stuck in a loop can burn through credits quickly. Set a spending limit on your API account before you start, and test with small inputs.
You can reduce this cost by using free tiers where providers offer them, smaller and cheaper models for practice, or open models run through free community platforms. Ask any paid course whether API access is included or whether you pay for your own keys.
Cloud accounts
If your course teaches deployment on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, you will need a cloud account. Free trials and free tiers exist, but resources left running can create a bill. Always shut down what you do not need, and set billing alerts on day one.
Hardware and internet
You do not need an expensive GPU machine to learn agentic AI, because most of the heavy work happens on the provider's servers. A laptop that runs Python, a code editor and a browser comfortably is enough. A stable internet connection matters more, especially for live online classes.
Exam retakes and renewals
Check each vendor's retake policy before you book, because a retake can mean paying the fee again. Certifications also expire. The NVIDIA and Databricks exams above are valid for 2 years, and the AWS Certified AI Practitioner and Google Cloud Generative AI Leader for 3 years, so budget for renewal if you want to keep them current.
Your time
Time is the biggest cost of all. A 3-month course with weekend batches still needs practice time during the week. Be honest about how many hours you can give, and choose a format that fits around your job or college.
6. Free vs paid: which should you choose?
Short answer: Choose free if you are self-driven and already code. Choose a paid live course if you need a schedule, project feedback, doubt clearing and placement help. Many learners do both: free courses first, then a paid course to go deeper.
There is no single right answer. Use this table to match the option to your situation.
A simple approach that saves money:
- Spend two weeks on free material, such as the DeepLearning.AI audit or Hugging Face Agents Course.
- Build one tiny agent yourself, for example one that answers questions from a PDF.
- If you enjoy it and want to go further, pick a paid course that fills the gaps you found.
This way you pay only after you know the field suits you, and you join the paid course ready to learn faster.
7. How to judge value: a checklist
Short answer: A good course teaches current tools, includes several real projects, has a trainer with relevant experience, offers recordings and doubt support, and states clearly what placement help includes. Use the checklist below before you compare fees.
The cheapest course is not always the best value. Score each course against these points.
Syllabus and tools
- Covers the full path: Python, LLM basics, prompting, tool calling, RAG, memory, one framework in depth, multi-agent orchestration, MCP, evaluation, guardrails and deployment.
- Teaches current frameworks, such as LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK or Microsoft Agent Framework.
- Treats Microsoft AutoGen as legacy, since its repository is archived, and does not build new projects on it.
- Includes evaluation and safety, not only "how to make an agent run".
Projects
- Includes several end-to-end projects, not only small demos.
- Projects solve realistic problems, such as a support agent, a document Q&A agent or a workflow automation agent.
- A mentor reviews your code and explains what to improve.
- You keep the code and can show it on GitHub.
Trainer and support
- The trainer's experience is stated clearly and relates to AI, cloud or software engineering.
- Live doubt clearing is available, not only a chat group.
- Recordings are provided if you miss a class.
- The course offers a free demo class so you can judge the teaching style.
Career support
- Placement support is described in specific terms: resume review, mock interviews, referrals, a placement officer.
- The course does not promise a guaranteed job or a fixed salary.
- Internship or live project opportunities are explained honestly.
Fees and terms
- The full fee is written down, including taxes and any extra charges.
- EMI options, if offered, are explained with all charges.
- The refund or batch-transfer policy is clear before you pay.
If a course ticks most of these boxes at a fee you can afford, it is likely good value. If it misses the projects and mentor review parts, think twice, because those are the parts you cannot easily get for free.
8. Questions to ask before you pay
Short answer: Ask for the latest syllabus, the number of projects, who the trainer is, what placement support includes, whether recordings and API access are included, the full fee with taxes, the EMI terms and the refund policy. Get the answers in writing.
Ask these on a call or at the demo class. A good provider will answer every one clearly.
- When was the syllabus last updated, and which frameworks does it teach?
- How many projects will I build, and will a mentor review my code?
- Who is the trainer, and what is their background?
- Is the class live, recorded or both? How long can I access recordings?
- What is the total fee, including taxes? Are there any extra charges?
- Is EMI available, and what are the exact terms?
- Do I need to pay for my own LLM API keys or cloud usage during the course?
- What exactly does placement support include?
- Is a free demo class available before I pay?
- What is the refund or batch-change policy if my schedule changes?
- Is the certificate a course completion certificate or a vendor certification?
- What prerequisites do I need? Do I need to know Python first?
Write down the answers. If a provider avoids a question, such as the total fee or what placement support really means, treat that as a warning sign.
9. Red flags when comparing course fees
Short answer: Be careful with job guarantees, fixed salary promises, outdated tool lists, unclear total fees, pressure to pay today, and courses that show only theory with no projects.
Watch for these warning signs:
- Guaranteed job or salary promises. No training provider controls hiring decisions.
- Countdown timers and "last seat today" pressure. Good courses run regular batches.
- No projects, only slides. Agentic AI is a building skill. You must build.
- Outdated tools only. If a course builds everything on archived tools, such as Microsoft AutoGen, ask why.
- Hidden fees. Exam fees, certificate fees or "lab fees" added after you join.
- A course certificate sold as a vendor certification. These are different things.
Treat course marketing with healthy doubt. A course page full of buzzwords tells you little. Ask to see the projects you will build and the code you will keep.
10. Is an agentic AI course worth the fee?
Short answer: It is worth it when it helps you build real projects and land a better role faster than you could alone. Look at the fee as an investment, compare it with the pay for AI roles in India, and choose the cheapest option that still gives you the structure and feedback you need.
Employers in India are hiring for titles such as AI Engineer, Generative AI Engineer and Agentic AI Engineer. Pay for these roles is reported on salary sites, but "agentic AI engineer" is a new title, so the data is still thin. For the latest sourced ranges by role, experience and city, see our guide to agentic AI engineer salary.
To judge value, add the course fee, exam fee and hidden costs, then weigh them against the time a structured course saves you and the portfolio it helps you build. A role change can repay the fee, but no course can promise one. Strong self-learners may need only free resources plus a vendor exam. If you need guidance, deadlines and job support, a paid course often gives better value than the fee alone suggests.

Subscription certificates cost a monthly fee, such as DeepLearning.AI Pro at $25 per month billed annually. Live online and classroom courses charge more because they include trainers, projects, mentor reviews and placement help.
Is there a free agentic AI course?
Yes, several good agentic AI courses are free. The Hugging Face Agents Course is free and covers smolagents, LangGraph and LlamaIndex. The DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course by Andrew Ng can be audited for free. IBM's RAG and Agentic AI Professional Certificate on Coursera shows "Enroll for free". Framework documentation from LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI, Google and Microsoft is also free to read.
Can I get an agentic AI course free with a certificate?
Yes, the Hugging Face Agents Course is free and offers a fundamentals certificate for Unit 1 plus a completion certificate. The DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course is free to audit, but its certificate needs a Pro membership at $25 per month billed annually. Always check the current certificate terms on the course page before you start, because platform pricing can change.
Why do agentic AI course fees vary so much?
Fees vary because courses include very different things. The five biggest drivers are format, duration, the number of real projects, mentor access and placement support. A recorded video series costs little to run. A live course with trainers, code reviews, small batches and a placement officer costs much more to deliver, so it charges a higher fee.
How much does the NVIDIA agentic AI certification cost?
The NVIDIA-Certified Professional: Agentic AI (NCP-AAI) exam costs $200. It is an intermediate, online proctored exam with 60 to 70 questions in 120 minutes, and it stays valid for 2 years. NVIDIA recommends 1 to 2 years of AI or ML experience. On 23 October 2026 the registration button showed "Coming soon", so you may not be able to book it yet.
What is the cheapest certification exam for AI beginners?
In October 2026, the Google Cloud Generative AI Leader exam was the cheapest in our list at $99, with no prerequisites. The AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam costs 100 USD and also has no prerequisites. Both are foundational and good for beginners, but neither focuses only on agents. Fees are billed in US dollars, so the rupee amount varies.
How much does the AWS generative AI certification cost?
AWS offers two relevant exams. The AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam costs 100 USD, has 65 questions in 90 minutes, needs no prerequisites and stays valid for 3 years. The AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional exam costs 300 USD, has 75 questions in 180 minutes, and AWS recommends 2 or more years of AWS experience plus 1 year with generative AI.
Is AI-102 still available for agentic AI skills?
No, the Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) certification is retired. The newer Microsoft exam on AI apps and agents is AI-103, for the Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate. It is an intermediate, 120-minute exam that covers Python, Microsoft Foundry and implementing generative AI and agentic solutions. Its price varies by country, so check the Microsoft Learn page for India.
Are certification exam fees included in course fees?
Usually not. A course completion certificate is different from a vendor certification exam. Exams from NVIDIA, AWS, Google, Databricks or Microsoft are paid separately to the vendor or its exam partner, and most are listed in US dollars. Ask any course provider whether an exam fee is included before you pay, and get the answer in writing.
What hidden costs should I plan for when learning agentic AI?
Plan for LLM API usage, cloud accounts, a laptop that runs Python comfortably, a stable internet connection, possible exam retakes and renewals, and your time. Agents call an LLM many times per task, so API costs can add up, especially if a buggy agent loops. Set spending limits and billing alerts before you start practising.
Do I need to pay for LLM APIs during an agentic AI course?
It depends on the course and the tools. Agents call an LLM many times to finish one task, and paid model APIs charge by the amount of text sent and received. You can reduce costs with free tiers, smaller models or open models. Ask any paid course whether API access is included or whether you need your own keys.
Are agentic AI frameworks free to use?
Yes, the main frameworks are open source and free. LangGraph, CrewAI, the OpenAI Agents SDK, Microsoft Agent Framework and Pydantic AI use the MIT licence, and Google's Agent Development Kit uses Apache-2.0 for its Python repository. You only pay for the models, APIs or cloud services you connect them to. Avoid Microsoft AutoGen for new projects because it is archived.
Is a paid agentic AI course worth it?
A paid course is worth it when it helps you build real projects and reach your career goal faster than you could alone. You pay for structure, live teaching, mentor feedback and placement support. If you are self-driven and already code, free resources may be enough. If you need deadlines and guidance, a paid course often gives better value.
Should I choose a free or paid agentic AI course?
Choose free if you are self-driven and comfortable with Python. Choose a paid live course if you need a schedule, project reviews, doubt clearing and placement help. A money-saving approach is to spend two weeks on free material first, build one small agent yourself, and then pick a paid course that fills the gaps you found.
What should a good agentic AI course syllabus include?
A good syllabus covers Python, LLM basics, prompting, tool calling, RAG, memory, one framework in depth, multi-agent orchestration, MCP, evaluation, guardrails and deployment. It should teach current frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK or Microsoft Agent Framework, and treat Microsoft AutoGen as legacy. It should also include several real projects reviewed by a mentor.
What questions should I ask before paying for an agentic AI course?
Ask when the syllabus was last updated, how many projects you will build, who the trainer is, whether classes are live or recorded, the total fee with taxes, EMI terms, whether API costs are included, what placement support includes, whether a free demo is available, the refund policy, and whether the certificate is a course or vendor certificate.
What are the red flags in agentic AI course offers?
Watch for guaranteed job or salary promises, countdown timers and pressure to pay today, courses with no projects, syllabi built only on archived tools such as Microsoft AutoGen, hidden exam or lab fees added after you join, and course certificates presented as vendor certifications. A good provider will happily show you the projects you will build before you pay.
Does placement assistance mean a guaranteed job?
No, placement assistance means help with your job search, not a guaranteed job. It can include resume and LinkedIn reviews, mock interviews, interview referrals and a dedicated placement officer. No training provider controls hiring decisions, so be careful with any course that promises a guaranteed job or a fixed salary. Read the exact wording before you pay.
How long does an agentic AI course take?
It depends on the course. Some short courses take only a few hours; for example, the DeepLearning.AI Agentic AI course is about 9 hours 55 minutes. Longer live courses can run for around 3 months and cover the full stack from Python and LLM basics to multi-agent projects and deployment. Longer courses usually cost more because they include more teaching hours.
Can I learn agentic AI without coding?
You can start with low-code builders, but coding helps you go much further. Tools such as Dify, n8n and Langflow let you build agent workflows visually, and some have free plans or free self-hosted editions. For most developer roles, though, employers expect Python. Many beginner courses teach the Python you need, so not knowing it yet need not stop you.
Do I need an expensive laptop to learn agentic AI?
No, you do not need an expensive GPU machine. Most of the heavy work happens on the model provider's servers, so a laptop that runs Python, a code editor and a browser comfortably is enough. A stable internet connection matters more, especially for live online classes and for calling LLM APIs while you build and test agents.
Is a course certificate the same as a vendor certification?
No, they are different. A course completion certificate shows you finished a training programme. A vendor certification, such as the NVIDIA-Certified Professional: Agentic AI or AWS Certified AI Practitioner, shows you passed a proctored exam set by that company, and it carries a separate exam fee. Both can help, but projects usually matter most in interviews.
Is EMI available for agentic AI course fees?
Some providers offer EMI, so ask before you enrol and get the full terms, including any extra charges, in writing. At Brolly Academy, Easy EMI is available for the Agentic AI Course in Hyderabad, so you can spread the fee instead of paying it all at once. Our fees are ₹9,999 for video recordings, ₹24,999 for the online course and ₹29,999 for classroom training.
What is the Brolly Academy agentic AI course fee in Hyderabad?
Brolly Academy's Agentic AI Course in Hyderabad has three options listed in October 2026. The Video Recording option costs ₹9,999 with 80+ recorded classes and lifetime access. The live Online Course costs ₹24,999 for 3 months with daily recordings. Classroom Training costs ₹29,999 and includes a dedicated placement officer. You can book a free demo class before you pay.
How do I calculate whether an agentic AI course fee is good value?
Add the course fee, any exam fee and hidden costs such as API and cloud usage. Then compare that total with what you get: live teaching hours, the number of real projects, mentor code reviews, recordings and placement support. The best value is the cheapest option that still gives you the structure and feedback you need to build a portfolio.
